Mountain Bluebird
Mountain Blue snacking on Russian Olive seed (temp. was 16F - taken up Autumn Lane - Poky, ID 23 Jan 2022). I realize Russian Olive is an invasive species here, but these seeds were providing rich nutrition for not only the Bluebird, but Dark-eyed Juncos and Northern Flickers.There was a group of three Bluebirds in this tree in my backyard. It is the earliest I have ever seen them.
